Job Overview

AEVEX Aerospace is seeking a hands-on, execution-focused Senior Director to lead Enterprise Business Systems with deep expertise in manufacturing ERP environments — specifically Infor LN / CloudSuite Aerospace & Defense.

The Senior Director of Business Systems will be responsible for executing the company’s enterprise systems strategy, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performance systems suitable for a highly innovative organization. This is not a maintenance role. This is a transformational role that will elevate the impact of business systems technologies across a growing technology-leading organization. A key aspect of this role will involve fostering a culture of collaboration and inclusivity, ensuring IT is aligned with business goals and serves as a strategic partner. This will require extensive stakeholder engagement at all levels, from delivery teams to executive leadership. While this is a strategic role, it is also essential that the successful candidate understands how to work in a SME environment, bringing a hands-on approach to leadership and driving change. This role is responsible for enterprise systems, platforms, and services that run the business. The selected candidate must bring strong operational rigor, manufacturing domain depth, and proven experience leading ERP stabilization in complex, growth-oriented environments. This role reports to the Chief Information Officer.

 Essential Functions

ERP Stabilization & Manufacturing Excellence

  • Own the operational performance of Infor LN across manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and program operations
  • Lead ERP remediation, configuration standardization, and process alignment
  • Establish governance, change control, and release management discipline
  • Drive improved labor posting accuracy, inventory controls, and production visibility
  • Ensure ERP supports DCAA, FAR, DFARS, and GovCon compliance requirements

 Enterprise Systems Integration

  • Operate and optimize enterprise systems including cloud environments, desktop, SaaS platforms, business applications, and internal tools.
  • Build a resilient, secure, and scalable infrastructure aligned with compliance and data governance requirements.
  • Standardize workflows across: Manufacturing, Engineering, Program Management, Contracts, Finance
  • Creates, updates, and documents process workflows, identifies gaps and weaknesses in existing processes and recommends actionable solutions to address those and future needs
  • Eliminate manual workarounds and shadow systems
  • Manages integrations and data flows between business system applications.
  • Define clear system-of-record boundaries
  • Oversee ERP integrations (Salesforce, Workforce Planning, CLM, BI layer)

 Data & Reporting Alignment

  • Ensure ERP data integrity and master data governance
  • Implement data architecture and data governance that deliver reporting and analytical capabilities as a competitive advantage for Aevex.
  • Partner with Data Engineering to enable: Accurate labor reporting, Cost visibility, Production metrics, Margin forecasting
  • Improve reporting automation and audit readiness
  • "Go to" for all SOPs for business systems; updates and maintains all necessary documentation.

 Leadership & Team Development

  • Shapes the future state of enterprise-wide business systems and drives the successful implementation of those business systems
  • Lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability. Through inclusive, resilient, and inspirational leadership, will build trust and bring focus and stability to the greater team.
  • Operate and manage the financial performance of the Business Systems Team and own the strategic and operational relationships with technology vendors and global delivery teams.
  • Leads the daily operations of the Business Systems Team assuring proper functioning and performance of all AEVEX Business Systems
  • Lead and develop Business Systems team
  • Build a culture of accountability and documentation discipline
  • Establish clear SLAs and service standards
  • Recruit, retain, and mentor ERP and functional system talent
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams including Finance, Program Management, HR, Business Development, Contracts, Procurement, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to gather requirements for improvement projects and then executes on those projects
  • Partner with security leadership to provide secure operations that enable the business and meet the requirements of providing services to government customers.
  • Works collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders across the business to provide support and updates to systems and processes
  • Interpret needs into specifications for system implementation, plan and coordinate processing schedules, develop and modify reports, establish priorities for task completion, and define/modify/update interfaces between other internal and external computer systems
  • Define and track performance metrics, SLAs, and KPIs across IT functions, ensuring their effective delivery and support for business performance goals.

 Vendor & Platform Management

  • Manage Infor and implementation partners
  • Drive contract accountability and performance metrics
  • Evaluate bolt-on modules and enhancement roadmaps
  • Balance build vs buy decisions with CIO

 Perform other duties as required

 Qualifications and Competencies -

  • Excellent general knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) / Material Resource Planning (MRP) platform capabilities as applied to typical business functions of a manufacturing company
  • Excellent ability to learn, navigate, and manage different platforms that serve different aspects of the business.
  • Deep hands-on expertise with Infor LN / CloudSuite ERP (Aerospace & Defense is a plus).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Business Intelligence as used to support corporate business functions including Finance and Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, inventory management, material planning and forecasting in a manufacturing business.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills: ability to mediate between different constituents to solve challenges.
  • Proven ability for writing and documenting SOPs and playbooks.
  • Analytical and solution minded and takes initiative without direction.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making skills
  • High energy and Positive Attitude.
  • Extremely organized and demonstrated ability to work on several projects simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks efficiently to meet shifting, accelerated deadlines

 Education / Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Master's Degree preferred in ITM or Information Systems, Computer Science

 Experience

  • 10 –15+ years enterprise systems leadership experience
  • IT Infrastructure, cloud platform (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), and network experience are a plus.
  • Hands on experience with INFOR Cloudsuite ERP.
  • Prior experience managing and leading a Business Systems technical team.
  • Additional experience in (preferred):

Manufacturing environment

DoD/GovCon business

ERP stabilization or turnaround scenario

Strong understanding of: MRP/MPS, Inventory control, Cost accounting, Shop floor execution, Supply chain planning,

Demonstrated experience managing ERP integrations

Proven success leading cross-functional teams
