What You'll Do

Lead and grow AFC's Chicago office
Build, hire, train, and lead a team
Develop a book of business through aggressive prospecting and relationship building
Create deep, multi-layered customer relationships that go far beyond freight
Leverage your personal network and connections to become a one-stop resource for customers
Set the culture, pace, and standard for the office from day one
Drive revenue growth, gross profit, and load volume targets
Manage carrier relationships, pricing strategy, and capacity sourcing
Build processes and systems that scale as the office grows
Report on performance, pipeline, and growth to AFC leadership
Represent AFC in the Chicago market as a trusted, connected, high-energy leader

What We're Looking For

5+ years in freight/transportation with a proven book of business or history of building one
Experience leading, mentoring, or managing a freight team
A massive network and the instinct to always be connecting people
Entrepreneurial drive: you think like an owner, not an employee
Deep understanding of freight operations, pricing, carrier management, and customer acquisition
High energy, high urgency, and high follow-through
Ability to recruit, train, and develop team members
Someone who naturally builds relationships that go beyond business
Strong communication skills and the ability to earn trust fast
Comfortable taking ownership and running with autonomy
