The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the CMO, you will shape and amplify Agoda’s global narrative across consumer and corporate PR, crisis management, internal communications, and employer branding. You’ll set the strategy, lead a high-performing team, and partner with senior leaders to shape Agoda’s reputation worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Set Global Communications Strategy: Architect and execute a unified approach across PR, internal comms, and employer branding to build and protect Agoda’s reputation
- Lead Storytelling & Newsroom: Oversee high-impact, multi-market storytelling powered by data and creativity, partnering with in-house and agency teams
- Executive & Crisis Counsel: Advise the CEO and the rest of the C-Suite on media relations, thought leadership, and reputation management, including crisis response.
- Drive Internal Alignment: Deliver strategic communications that engage and inspire employees, strengthening culture and alignment.
- Elevate Employer Brand: Position Agoda as a top employer in Asia and beyond through compelling, authentic communications.
- Team Leadership: Inspire, develop, and scale a diverse team of communications professionals, both local and remote.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal leaders, media, partners, and vendors.
- Measure & Optimize Impact: Leverage analytics and emerging technologies to track, measure, and optimize communications outcomes.
What You Bring
- Extensive Communications Leadership: 12+ years of experience in leading global communications or agency teams with high editorial standards.
- Crisis Management Expertise: Proven ability to navigate complex issues with external stakeholders.
- Humble, Trust-Building Approach:Earns trust through openness and hands-on collaboration, not title or credentials.
- Builder’s Mindset: Creative, data-driven, and experimental approach to designing scalable systems and processes.
- Multi-Market Experience: Track record of delivering impactful stories across diverse markets.
- Tech & Data Fluency: Curiosity for emerging tools, including AI, to enhance storytelling and communications.
- Team Leadership: 5+ years managing high-performing, diverse teams.
- Stakeholder Management: Experience working with C-suite and senior leaders.
