Working closely with the Tax team in Sydney HQ, you will make your mark in a number of ways with your positive attitude, growth mindset and ability to get things done in a dynamic environment. This is a exciting opportunity to be part of shaping our approach to tax in a rapidly expanding regional business.
Your Day to Day
In this role, your day to day responsibilities will include:
- Managing tax reporting obligations for the group across the region;
- Timely delivery of tax reporting across direct taxes, indirect taxes, employee taxes and transfer pricing;
- Driving continuous process improvements;
- Seeking opportunities for automation;
- Be part of the wider team’s effort in developing and enhancing a framework for data analytics, policies & procedures, and risk management;
- Forecasting positions for the group including consideration of new laws such as thin capitalisation and Pillar 2;
- Reviewing effective tax rates;
- Be part of the wider team’s effort in implementing the group’s country by country reporting across the region;
- Continuing to maintain & enhance our global transfer pricing framework and models;
- Participate in the global tax fixed asset register project across the region;
- Conducting operational reviews of our positions across the region; and
- Providing support on ad hoc tax advisory matters.
Requirements
- 5-10 years experience in a similar tax role;
- Proven track record of demonstrating the ability to adapt in a fast paced environment
- Appropriate professional qualifications (CA or equivalent, Solicitor’s admission etc);
- Proven ability to work independently to execute on strategic priorities; and
- A self-starter with a growth mindset.
