A Snapshot
As the Finance Operations Specialist based in our HQ in Tokyo, you will report to the Assistant Manager, Finance and work closely with various teams and leadership across the Asia Pacific region, making your mark in a number of ways:
- Supporting the Assistant Manager, Finance in relation to financial operations process, month-end, year-end closing and other ad-hoc assignments as required
- Support implementation of excellence in Yardi (project-related budget/PO maintenance system) practice to ensure payment schedule and amount are in line with budget and contract.
- Be instrumental in helping AirTrunk defining leading practice and driving out key improvements through simplification and standardization.
Your Day to Day
- Processing local and overseas payments to vendors and reimbursements to employees
- Ensure payment schedule of construction and track actual spend and future spend
- Manage vendor master process and PO process
- Billing the invoice to our customers and managing AR Aging
- Maintain day-to-day finance operations by collaborating with teams overseas
- Perform bank accounts reconciliation and manage reconciling items
- Perform financial accounting duties including preparation of general ledger journals, month-end schedules, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with financial reporting obligations under debt facilities and board reporting requirements
- Assist with reconciliation of construction cost for data centres
- Assist in the continuous development of the finance team through business process improvement or exploring technological solutions to increase efficiencies
- Other ad hoc projects and duties to support the finance team
Requirements
- You have a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience
- You have Nissho Bookkeeping Test 2nd Grade certification or an equivalent qualification
- You have practical Excel experience and can confidently perform the following operations:
- VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
- SUMIF/COUNTIF
- Basic filtering and sorting
- Daily use of common keyboard shortcuts
- Driven, passionate about learning and developing new skills
- You are fluent in both English and Japanese
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- NetSuite experience is plus
