A Snapshot
As Senior Contracts Manager based in Singapore, you will report to the Senior Contracts Manager and work closely with various teams and leadership across the Asia Pacific region, making your mark in a number of ways:
- You will provide leadership, guidance and advice to support the project delivery teams in all aspects of commercial and contract issues across the entire lifecycle of our data centre developments in Singapore
- You will negotiate complex contracts, and lead the reporting and administration function for the region, ensuring a high level of governance and accuracy to stakeholders
Your Day to Day
- Negotiating and drafting key commercial outcomes in new contracts, variations and contractual correspondence
- Contract lifecycle management including kick-off, monitoring contractor performance and proactively managing contract works delivery through to completion and project close out
- Resolve contract interpretation issues and disputes in a creative manner, balancing both parties’ objectives and the long-term implications of changes or solutions
- Assessing and managing contract claims including variations, time-related claims, payment claims and invoices
- Cost reporting and cashflow projection across in-flight projects ensuring high accuracy achieving key performance indicator
- Lead project close outs across region and conduct project lesson learned analysis upon all project completions
- Developing and implementing reporting tools for measurement of key contract metrics
- Assist with innovations, initiatives and continuous improvements aimed at increasing time and costs efficiencies of the delivery of our data centres
- Concurrently manage multiple projects including new data centre buildings and capital improvement projects associated with existing data centres
Requirements
- A relevant degree such as Law, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Engineering (or similar)
- Minimum 15 years of experience in construction industry including 10 years of experience in construction contract and commercial claim management
- Strong understanding of contract management and administration with a sound understanding of contract law
- Strong communication, negotiation, contract drafting and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively to problem-solve and bring matters to a close
- Authentic and genuine personality who can build strong relationships with diverse personalities around the world
- Strong influencing skills with a history of demonstrated business partnering to achieve broader business goals is critical to success in this role
- Demonstrable leadership and problem-solving skills
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and exposure to online collaboration tools
