Instrument Integration & Test Engineer (full time) – Alamar Biosciences, Inc., 47071 Bayside Pkwy, Fremont, CA 94538. Work location in Fremont, CA. Support prototype & manufacturing instrument builds and provide feedbacks for module/system level improvements; troubleshooting on complex mechanical, electrical, and fluidics systems; develop and execution automated scripts to assess hardware consistency and system performance; conduct various testing of hardware/software fixes and new features; set-up, execution, and data capture for research and development experiments; clearly document and present the results of the experiment studies or investigations; communicate with an interdisciplinary team to compile and track system integration problems. Requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering or physics. 18-month work experience as a mechanical engineer or related. Programming experience with at least one modern language such as C#, Python; familiarity with 3D CAD design software, such as SOLIDWORKS; experience with liquid handlers and automated robotic systems used for biology; knowledge in electromechanical system testing such as test design, fixture design; experience in integrating hardware, mechanical, and software components of complex automated systems.
