Allego is a rapidly growing SaaS technology company in the Boston area and creator of the market-leading Revenue Enablement Platform. Our technology helps Go-To-Market teams build the skills and access the knowledge they need to succeed in every selling situation.
Allego is the only revenue enablement platform to be named a Leader in both the Forrester Wave™ and the inaugural Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Revenue Enablement Platforms.
Not only are we growing quickly, but we’ve also been recognized as a top place to work by The Boston Business Journal, The Boston Globe, and Inc. Magazine. In addition, Selling Power named Allego one of the 50 Best Companies to Sell For in both 2025 and 2026.
Allego is looking for a Sr. Cloud Developer to join our Cloud team to own and evolve the critical backend services that power Allego's Sales Learning platform. This is a hands-on technical role with meaningful scope: you will architect, develop, and maintain the API server and companion microservices that serve millions of requests from mobile (iOS, Android) and web clients worldwide.
You will work closely with a multi-disciplined team, product, QA, frontend, and DevOps in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. We value engineers who take ownership, write production-quality code, and can make sound architecture decisions independently.
What You Will Do
- Design and implement new features and APIs consumed by mobile and web clients, leveraging AI driven tools and processes
- Maintain and evolve core backend services and microservices
- Write and optimize database stored procedures for performance and correctness
- Architect and deliver asynchronous processing pipelines
- Contribute to security features including SSO integration, file handling, and role-based access controls
- Debug and resolve production incidents with urgency and thoroughness
- Participate in code review and set the bar for engineering quality across the team
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and drive adoption of consistent patterns
Experience You Will Bring
- 5+ years of professional Java development experience in a production SaaS environment
- Strong command of relational databases (MySQL preferred) — schema design, query optimization, and stored procedure development
- Solid experience with REST API design and implementation at scale
- Experience with asynchronous, message-driven systems
- Proficiency with AWS services (S3, SES, EC2, or equivalents)
- Experience debugging complex distributed, multi-tenant systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI Tools (e.g., Claude Code) a strong plus
- Experience with Elasticsearch or similar distributed search systems
- Experience with ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar message brokers
- Familiarity with enterprise SSO integration (SAML 2.0 or similar)
- Experience with Spring Boot or similar Java microservice frameworks
- Exposure to audio/video transcoding pipelines
- Familiarity with Redis or Memcached for distributed caching
- Experience with Hibernate ORM
- Experience integrating with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics
- Contributions to open source projects
Education
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related scientific or technical discipline.
Compensation:
- COP 260,000,000 – COP 300,000,000 annually
