About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead our global knowledge management operations and strategy. This important role will be responsible for building, maintaining, and evolving our firm's intellectual capital infrastructure, ensuring team members across our business units have seamless access to the insights, methodologies, and expertise that drive client excellence. Reporting to senior leadership, you will transform how we capture, organize, and leverage knowledge across our global operations, directly impacting our ability to deliver innovative solutions and maintain our competitive edge.
Key Responsibilities

Knowledge Strategy & Operations

  • Lead the execution of the firm's global knowledge management strategy aligned with business objectives and growth ambitions
  • Design and maintain our enterprise-wide knowledge taxonomy and classification framework
  • Establish governance protocols and quality standards for knowledge assets
  • Define metrics and KPIs to measure knowledge management effectiveness and ROI

Content & Repository Management

  • Oversee the firm's centralized document repository and knowledge platforms
  • Implement robust content lifecycle management processes (creation, curation, archival, retirement)
  • Ensure knowledge assets are current, accurate, searchable, and accessible across all geographies
  • Drive adoption of knowledge management tools and technologies

Intellectual Property Development

  • Partner with practice leaders to identify, develop, and codify proprietary methodologies and
  • frameworks
  • Transform project deliverables and insights into reusable intellectual property
  • Build a library of case studies, thought leadership, and best practices
  • Protect and manage sensitive client information while maximizing knowledge sharing

Collaboration & Enablement

  • Foster a knowledge-sharing culture across the organization
  • Design and deliver training programs on knowledge management best practices
  • Establish communities of practice and expert networks
  • Create intuitive search and discovery experiences for consultants

Technology & Innovation

  • Evaluate and implement knowledge management technologies, including AI-powered search,
  • semantic tagging, and automated content classification
  • Optimize existing platforms (SharePoint, knowledge bases, intranets) for improved user experience
  • Explore emerging technologies such as generative AI for knowledge synthesis and retrieval

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate with our training program to integrate knowledge assets into training curricula
  • Work with our global partner team to leverage knowledge for proposals and pitches
  • Partner with technology to ensure technical infrastructure meets knowledge management needs
  • Coordinate with Compliance and Legal to ensure appropriate information governance
Essential Qualifications

Experience

  • 7-10 years in knowledge management, information science, or related fields
  • 3-5 years in leadership or senior individual contributor roles, preferably within professional services (consulting, legal, accounting, financial services)
  • Demonstrated success implementing knowledge management programs
  • Experience managing cross-functional initiatives and stakeholder engagement

Technical Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of knowledge management frameworks, methodologies, and best practices
  • Proficiency with knowledge management platforms and document management systems
  • Understanding of taxonomy development, metadata standards, and information architecture
  • Familiarity with AI/ML applications in knowledge management (natural language processing,
  • semantic search)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Library Science, Information Management, Knowledge Management, or related field
  • Professional certifications (e.g., KMI Knowledge Management Professional, CKM)
  • Experience in financial services or management consulting
  • Background in content strategy or user experience design
  • Familiarity with Agile or Lean methodologies

This is a fully remote position available to candidates based in the United States or Canada, with occasional travel to our office locations for team meetings and strategic sessions.

There are a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to - skill sets, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the range is $140,000 and $180,000 for US based applicants, and 180,000 CAD - 220,000 CAD for Canada based employees subject to change based on salary benchmarking. In addition to this salary, employees would be eligible for both variable and non-variable benefits.
