SME & Senior Business Consultant

North America

About Aiviq

Aiviq is a fintech company transforming how asset managers globally process, analyse, and leverage their data. Our solutions power critical business processes for leading financial institutions worldwide, helping them drive efficiency and growth.

Position Overview

As an Asset Management SME & Senior Business Consultant within the Professional Services department at Aiviq, you will be the in-house domain authority supporting the build-out of our new US team. Drawing on deep knowledge of the delivery, management and underlying business use cases of client and AUM & Flow data – with a particular focus on US wealth and retail distribution – you will guide implementation projects across new and existing US clients and collaborate with our Sales, Product and Services teams, many of whom are based outside the US, to ensure that our solutions reflect the nuances of the local market and meet client needs across enterprise-wide use cases.

As an early hire into the US team, you should expect to flex across more than project delivery: contributing to pre-sales conversations, feeding the US perspective into product direction, and acting as a trusted SME for clients and internal teams alike. The right person will treat this breadth as an opportunity to help shape our US team and capability.

Core Responsibilities

Subject Matter Expertise & Implementation Support

  • Receive and execute on work packages for client implementation alongside an Aiviq Project Manager.
  • Understand the client data sources at a business and technical level and work with Aiviq and client teams to define and deliver scalable solutions that meet our client’s requirements
  • Work with the Project Manager to define effective delivery approaches and suitable acceptance criteria.
  • Contribute innovative ideas to advance the Professional Services offering
  • Create high-quality business or technical documentation for client specific implementation work.
  • Develop deep product knowledge and work with the Aiviq Product team to implement new features as well as managing and triaging client feedback on product features.
  • Define and execute on suitable test criteria for ensuring successful completion of project tasks.
  • Work with Aiviq Technical BAs to conduct sophisticated data analysis to draw out potential problems in implementations or to innovate in improvement to the implementation process.
  • Work with Engineering and QA on the reporting of, resolution and client-side testing of bugs and issues.
  • Act as the in-house US market subject matter expert: mentor and upskill colleagues, brief our European-based teams on US-specific data and market nuances, and represent the US perspective in product and roadmap discussions.
  • Translate client requirements across Distribution, Finance, Compliance and Client Reporting use cases into clear, actionable implementation specifications.
  • Lead client-side workshops and working sessions to drive decisions, align stakeholders across business and technology functions, and secure sign-off on scope, design and acceptance criteria – acting as a consultative voice rather than purely an order-taker.

Your Qualifications

Required Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience working with US asset manager data, with deep subject matter expertise in AUM and flow data and client economic (revenue/fee) data – with a clear primary focus on wealth and retail distribution (RIAs, wirehouses, broker-dealers and intermediary platforms); institutional experience is a plus rather than a requirement.
  • Broad coverage across investment vehicles common to US wealth distribution – ETFs, SMAs/UMAs, Model Portfolios, Mutual Funds and Alternatives – including how each is sold, reported and reconciled.
  • Strong working knowledge of client master / MDM concepts as applied to US distribution data: firm and office hierarchies, rep and household structures, survivorship and match/merge rules, and the lineage from raw third-party feeds through to a reportable book of record. Hands-on experience with SalesConnect, Broadridge or equivalent industry data sets is highly valued.
  • Working knowledge of US sales coverage and territory assignment data – channel and territory definitions, coverage models, splits and credit assignment – and how these feed downstream CBOR, compensation and reporting use cases.
  • Strong data literacy and hands-on analytical skills – this is a data-literate analyst / SME profile rather than a software engineering role. You should be confident interrogating, mapping and validating data using SQL and Excel against large, messy industry datasets; deeper coding or engineering experience is a plus, not a requirement.
  • Ability to grasp new business data domains quickly
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of use cases across functions such as Distribution, Finance, Compliance and Client Reporting within US asset management
  • Familiarity with US asset management market structure, distribution channels, and regulatory and reporting standards
  • Credibility and presence with senior client stakeholders – able to hold the room with heads of Distribution, Finance or Data – paired with a collaborative, pragmatic style that works across global teams and time zones.
  • Agile development methodology experience

Desired Experience

  • Prior experience working in adjacent Fintech or for a US asset manager
  • Experience with financial reporting or revenue management systems
  • Testing experience across complex rules engines and financial data
  • Experience with AI/ML implementation and/or BI/reporting solutions
  • Experience with Azure or other relevant cloud-based solutions

What Sets You Apart

  • Excellent technical problem solving skills
  • Credibility with senior client stakeholders – able to translate complex business or technical issues into clear, actionable conversations and influence decisions across business and technology functions.
  • Full data literacy with ability to draw meaningful conclusions quickly
  • Excellence in client interaction across global markets
  • Track record of bringing innovation within a professional services environment
  • Ability to bridge technical and business requirements

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to shape a growing professional services operation.
  • Career growth within a globally expanding fintech
  • Collaborative, innovation-focused environment
  • Competitive compensation package
  • Professional development support

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
