The Opportunity

Alpha Inc. is seeking a detail-driven, proactive Safety Specialist to ensure our operations remain safe, compliant, and forward-thinking. This is a mission-critical role in which your leadership will directly impact the health and well-being of our teams while supporting our high-performance culture across construction and energy projects.

In this dynamic position, you’ll lead safety initiatives, conduct inspections, deliver training, and ensure regulatory compliance across all job sites. You’ll represent Alpha Inc. with professionalism in meetings with clients and regulatory agencies like OSHA, and will play a vital role in maintaining our commitment to operational excellence.

What You Will Do

Design and Execute Safety Programs

  • Lead the development and implementation of company-wide safety programs and procedures.

  • Create strategic training plans for crews and management on OSHA and job-specific protocols.

  • Deliver engaging training sessions and presentations tailored to diverse teams.

Conduct Inspections and Ensure Compliance

  • Perform field safety inspections and audits across all operational areas.

  • Enforce company and regulatory safety standards.

  • Serve as the primary safety representative during client and OSHA meetings in the Safety Manager’s absence.

Drive Safety Improvements and Reporting

  • Investigate incidents and prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis.

  • Analyze safety performance data to identify trends and recommend improvements.

  • Maintain safety logs, records, compliance documents, and inventory systems.

Collaborate and Communicate

  • Mentor site supervisors on best practices and compliance.

  • Partner with vendors, clients, and agencies to ensure alignment on safety expectations.

  • Support a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of safety experience, preferably in safety construction or related industries.

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).

  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA and related regulatory requirements.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and technical writing skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.

  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to coach, lead, and enforce policies professionally and impartially.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience working in Hawaii or remote job site environments.

  • Familiarity with safety or construction management platforms.

  • Technical certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, CHST) are a plus.
