Description:
Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing) Technician
Responsibilities:
• Operate additive manufacturing equipment (including related software pre-processing steps).
• Post-process additive manufacturing parts, including gluing, sanding, cleaning, and/or modifying plastic parts.
• Operate hand tools.
• Maintain and service workshop machinery and laboratory equipment.
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.
• Monitor and control stock levels in the laboratory.
Requirements:
• Previous experience in the rapid prototyping industry preferred.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, including handling problem situations with customers.
• Computer skills, attention to detail, organized, with critical-thinking skills.
• Experience working in 3D CAD, particularly CATIA and preferably Magics or other AM software.
• Basic understanding of all part finishing techniques and ability to complete tasks with moderate supervision in a timely manner.
• Basic understanding of part cleaning and curing processes.
• Measure parts using applicable tools and software and report results.
• Basic math skills, familiar with the metric system.
• Excellent communication and phone skills.
• Proficiency with Windows and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Perform lower level periodic maintenance on all RP equipment.
• Calibration and maintenance of workshop and laboratory equipment.
• Hands-on use of in-house rapid prototyping systems.
