We are looking for Product Engineer in Troy, MI and Port Huron, MI

Responsibilities: 

  • Design and develop plastic leather-wrapped components; navigate product through ECRs, launch phase, and ensure product feasibility.  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product requirements are met. Document within client systems. 
  • Conduct feasibility studies and create detailed design specifications.  
  • Utilize CAD software to create 3D models and technical drawings. 
  • Perform simulations and analyses to validate designs and ensure compliance with industry standards. 
  • Oversee prototype development and testing, making necessary adjustments based on test results. 
  • Provide technical support throughout the product lifecycle, from concept to production. 
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance product performance, reliability, and manufacturability. 
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into product designs. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 
  • Proven experience in mechanical design and product development. 
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). 
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and materials science. 
  • Experience with simulation tools (e.g., FEA, CFD) is a plus. 
  • Prior experience with leather-wrapped components is preferred. 
  • Experience working with interior plastic components.  
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
