
Product Engineer

We are looking for Product Engineer in Troy, MI and Port Huron, MI
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop plastic leather-wrapped components; navigate product through ECRs, launch phase, and ensure product feasibility.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product requirements are met. Document within client systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies and create detailed design specifications.
- Utilize CAD software to create 3D models and technical drawings.
- Perform simulations and analyses to validate designs and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Oversee prototype development and testing, making necessary adjustments based on test results.
- Provide technical support throughout the product lifecycle, from concept to production.
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance product performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into product designs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and materials science.
- Experience with simulation tools (e.g., FEA, CFD) is a plus.
- Prior experience with leather-wrapped components is preferred.
- Experience working with interior plastic components.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
