As a Supplier Network Quality Auditor, you will evaluate supplier's capability, performance, and potential in several aspects based on a risk management approach by auditing suppliers. Your main area of responsibility is to support within North American and as an auditor you will coach the supplier together with SQE on making risk mitigation plans. The majority of your time will be spent evaluating suppliers and identifying weaknesses, gaps, and potential risks through the application of different tools such as Supplier Evaluation Models for Automotive purchasing. You will also calibrate with existing lead auditors within the SQE organization by sharing best practices to secure a fact based and robust output from the audits which will be an input for sourcing decisions. This is a senior position which means we are looking for someone with extensive knowledge and the ability to present audit reports to key stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have an eye for details but have a good general understanding of the situation, being able to make risk assessments and focus on the right areas. You will be expected to travel frequently (approximately to 3-4 times per month) to visit with the network.
Qualifications of a successful candidate include:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or 5 years of technical experience needed (extensive experience and strong performance can substitute for academic degree)
- Audit skills and good knowledge of ISO 19011
- A structured approach with good analytical skills, logical thinking, and strong problem-solving abilities
- Strong continuous improvement skills
- Experience from various production processes
- Sustainability minded
- Good English communication skills, both orally and in writing
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Preventative mindset with leadership to solve problems and to make decisions
- Ability to create networks and to lead cross functional activities within multi-cultural teams
- Ability to work with significant independence but is also a team player
Salary Range: $70,000-80,000
The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
