Mechanical Test Engineer
Develop the HIL plant model to simulate vehicle behavior using Stateflows and control strategies to mimic other controllers. Generate and maintain models for various vehicle components such as Battery, Electric motors, transmission etc. Create validation test plan and test specifications for application software in the HIL environment .Develop and maintain the validation framework for automation of test framework. Root cause analysis to identify issues related to SW and HW systems. Develop, improve and maintain test automation scripts. Perform MIL/SIL/HIL validation testing and plant model verification using MATLAB/SImulink and dSpace HIL system. Define and execute test cases for Fault management & Diagnostics, Performance & Timing fo embedded powertrain and supervisory software. Define and execute test cases for UDS diagnostic using CANoe. DiVa. Help identify gaps in requirements and work with the system design engineers to update the requirement documents accordingly. Design and development of DVP following A-SPICE process. Work with functional safety engineers to develop test cases compliant with ISO26262 functional safety. Troubleshoot using measurement and diagnostic equipment including power supplies, oscilloscopes, VectorCANoe, CANalyzer etc.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 6 months’ work experience. Travel and/or relocation to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. required. The purpose of travel and/or relocation would be to work with clients on projects. The frequency of travel and/or relocation will be determined by the needs of clients. 40hr/wk, $107,266.00/year.
