Job Description:
- Client is seeking a Process Specialist / Supervisor (ME L2) to support our high‑volume automotive manufacturing operations. In this role, you will lead process stability, quality performance, and continuous improvement within your designated production area.
- You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams, support new model launches, and supervise hourly or engineering staff to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale targets.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and optimize assigned manufacturing processes across all shifts, ensuring conformance and standardization.
- Review, update, and maintain process sheets using AMPS and support process documentation.
- Analyze quality and process data (including CP‑CPK) and drive root‑cause corrective actions.
- Lead process and tooling changes in collaboration with Product Engineering, Supplier Quality, and Program Management.
- Support new model / new equipment launch activities, including PFMEA, tooling reviews, and layout development.
- Champion continuous improvement through WCM/kaizen initiatives focused on Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Throughput.
- Supervise, coach, and mentor hourly employees or junior engineers while fostering a positive team environment.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- Ability to work any shift and required overtime in a unionized, high‑volume plant environment.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills; ability to work across all levels of plant leadership.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supervising in automotive or high‑volume manufacturing.
- Knowledge of BIW or Assembly processes, tooling, PFMEA, and new model launch methods.
- Experience with Teamcenter Manufacturing, AMPS, and dimensional control systems.
