
Plant Operator - Water Treatment

As Plant Operator you will be responsible for;
- Operate and monitor water and wastewater treatment plant equipment including pumps, filtration systems, chemical feed systems, and related infrastructure.
- Monitor plant performance through SCADA systems and make adjustments to treatment processes as needed.
- Maintain proper chemical dosage levels to ensure effective treatment.
- Collect samples and perform basic water quality testing.
- Read meters, gauges, and instrumentation and maintain accurate operational logs and reports.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs with maintenance personnel.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, inspecting, and lubricating equipment.
- Monitor and assist with operation of Allen Bradley PLC-based control systems.
- Respond to equipment malfunctions, alarms, and emergency situations in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Communicate operational updates and issues with supervisors and plant staff.
- Participate in training and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in water or wastewater treatment plant operations or a related industrial environment.
- Understanding of water/wastewater treatment processes.
- Experience working with SCADA systems and Allen Bradley PLCs.
- Ability to read gauges, meters, and operational diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Location: Honolulu, Hawaii
Salary Range: $35 - 45/hr + OT
