
Tool & Fixture Specialist

What You’ll Do
- Program, set up, and operate CNC mills, lathes, multi‑axis machines, grinders, EDM, and manual equipment to optimize performance and minimize downtime
- Read and apply engineering drawings, blueprints, and advanced GD&T
- Perform complex offsets, tool compensation, and program adjustments to maintain tight tolerances
- Manufacture precision components to tolerances of .0001" or better with minimal supervision
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and material issues and implement corrective actions
- Recommend and execute process, tooling, and programming improvements
- Partner with Tool Design to develop fixtures, jigs, and custom tooling
- Conduct in‑process and final inspections using precision measurement equipment
- Share knowledge and best practices to support team development
- Adhere to safety, quality, and 5S workplace standards
Required Qualifications
- AA/AS degree or equivalent technical training with 8+ years of relevant machining experience
- Advanced expertise in CNC and manual machining and programming
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T and precision measurement
- Ability to work independently and resolve complex technical problems
- High mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience
- Machining certifications or advanced technical education
- Tool and die or specialized machining background
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong communication and mentoring skills
