Job Description:
- The role sits within Client Automotive Development Center (ADC), supporting the IVI (In‑Vehicle Infotainment) division, with a specific focus on audio and reception systems.
- The team develops and validates hardware, not software, for infotainment-related electronic components.
The Test Engineer L2 will be responsible for:
- Audio systems: amplifiers, speakers
- Reception systems: AM/FM/XM antennas
- Supporting some peripherals indirectly (wireless chargers, USB switches, telematics), though core focus is audio/reception
The position is end-to-end hardware focused, covering:
- Requirements development & review for audio/reception components Supplier engagement (quotation support, selection, compliance review) Component validation & testing against requirements Issue evaluation during validation, mass production, or market feedback Documentation & reporting of test results, findings, and issues
- This is a Level 2 role, generally targeting 3–6 years of experience, but flexibility exists for strong candidates with relevant technical depth.
- Automotive experience is helpful but not mandatory; strong RF or electronics backgrounds (including military or non-automotive) are acceptable.
- The position requires strong on‑site presence (80%), especially early on due to training needs. Some limited travel (1–2 times per year) may occur for technical training.
- Training is provided, and the team values self‑motivated, quick learners who can adapt to Client ‑specific processes and standards
