This role will be on-site 5 days a week in NW Austin.

The Role

Ambiq is seeking a VP - Product Management & Marketing to own the P&L and business strategy for our edge AI/MCU/SoC portfolio. You will define the multi-year roadmap, orchestrate execution across Engineering, Sales, and Operations, and drive revenue growth and profitability by delivering category-defining ultra-low power solutions

What You’ll Do

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Own portfolio strategy, complete product lifecycles, and 3–5 year roadmaps across silicon, AI tools, SDKs, and reference solutions
  • Define high-impact value propositions, positioning, and value-based pricing/packaging to maximize profitability
  • Build and validate business cases (TAM/SAM/SOM, cost, margin, ROI) and prioritize investments.

Go-to-Market & Launch

  • Lead integrated product launches (alpha/beta, enablement, content, PR/analyst, and events)
  • Partner with Sales and BD on flagship design-win strategy, funnel health, and channel programs.
  • Ensure the creation of powerful sales enablement assets including solution briefs, benchmarks, competitive battlecards, demos/reference designs

Customer & Market Insight

  • Act as executive sponsor building C-level relationships with strategic customers to capture future requirements for strategic customers
  • Maintain deep competitive analysis and market intelligence to guide roadmap, positioning, and messaging

People Leadership & Operations

  • Own annual planning for portfolio P&L targets, pricing strategy, and budget
  • Drive tight alignment and prioritization across engineering, marketing, and sales leaders to ensure timely execution of the product roadmap and resolve critical trade-offs
  • Hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing team; establish clear career paths and objectives and foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and operational excellence
  • Institute data-driven product operating rhythms (MRD/PRD reviews, launch gates, KPI dashboards).

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Translate customer/market needs into crisp requirements for Architecture, Silicon, Firmware, AI tools, and Software.
  • Partner with Applications/FAE to scale customer support, developer experience, reference designs, and ecosystems.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain/Operations on forecasts and product plans

What Success Looks Like (KPIs)

  • Market share growth and AI/software solution attach rate in key ultra-low-power applications
  • Ecosystem expansion measured by the number of active partners, developers, or design-ins for reference solutions
  • Gross margin improvement through value-based pricing and mix.
  • On-time launches with successful revenue contribution and healthy ROI from new product introductions
  • Team Health & Retention: Employee engagement scores and retention of top talent

What You Bring

  • 15+ years in Product Management/Product Marketing for semiconductors, embedded systems, or edge AI; 7+ years managing PM/PMM leaders and ICs.
  • Proven ownership of silicon + software portfolios (MCU/SoC/ASIC, SDKs, toolchains, reference designs).
  • Demonstrated success taking complex technical products from concept to high-volume production.
  • Strong financial acumen (pricing, margin, P&L) and analytical rigor (market models, experiment design).
  • Customer-facing credibility with OEM/ODM/Tier-1 partners; excellent executive communication.
  • Ability to synthesize architecture trade-offs (power, performance, area, BOM) into marketable value.
  • Education: BS in EE/CE/CS (or related) required; MS/MBA preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with wearables/hearables, consumer health, industrial IoT, medical and/or vision/audio AI at the edge.
  • Ecosystem chops: Zephyr, RTOS, TensorFlow Lite Micro/TVM, compilers/Kernels, model optimization/ML perf.
  • Familiarity with developer marketing, communities, and reference app pipelines

Work Model & Travel

  • Austin-based hybrid role with regular in-office collaboration
  • ~15–25% travel for customers, tradeshows, and cross-site meetings.
