About the Role & Team
Join Amplitude’s Business Systems team, where we’re on a mission to scale innovation through technology, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration. This role will be integral to enhancing our Salesforce platform, with a focus on implementing scalable and efficient solutions to support the quote-to-cash lifecycle, pricing automation, and sales operations.
As a Sr. Systems Engineer, you will:
- Design, develop, and deploy custom solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows within the Salesforce platform.
- Support and enhance the Salesforce CPQ instance (guided selling, pricing logic, product bundles, quote templates).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Participate in the full development lifecycle, including technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support.
- Identify and recommend best practices around Salesforce CPQ and custom development.
- Contribute to platform governance: user access controls, data quality, performance, and documentation.
- Identify improvement opportunities and apply best practices to increase platform efficiency and maintainability.
- Ensure Salesforce platform governance, data quality, and performance tuning.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
You'll be a great addition to the team if you have:
- 5+ years of experience in Salesforce development, including experience with CPQ,Apex, Lightning Components, and API integrations.
- 2-3 end to end Sales Cloud applications implementation experience (Account/Lead/Opportunity/Quote/ContractManagement including 1 CPQ implementation
- Deep expertise in Salesforce object and execution models, native and custom fieldsets
- Strong understanding of CRM processes, particularly Lead to Opportunity and Quote to Order, Billing, and Revenue Recognition processes.
- Experience using version control systems (e.g., Git) and modern DevOps tools for Salesforce development (e.g., SFDX, CI/CD pipelines).
- A proactive, collaborative approach with a natural curiosity to learn and improve.
- Strong knowledge and grasp of relational database design and data modeling
- Good interpersonal communication skills and an affinity to work in a team environment; have the ability to handle multiple concurrent activities with a flexible and adaptable positive attitude
- Salesforce Certified Advanced Developer Certification is good to have
Bonus Points For
- Experience integrating Salesforce with NetSuite or custom provisioning systems.
- Familiarity with cross-system architecture and data flow best practices.

Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in San Francisco Bay Area of California. Salary range: $134,000 - $201,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)
Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in California outside of the San Francisco Bay Area. California salary range: $121,000 - $181,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)
Based on legislation in Washington state, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in Washington state. Washington salary range: $121,000 - $181,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)
Based on legislation in Washington state, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in Washington only: unlimited PTO, 10 to 13 holidays annually (will vary), medical dental and vision PPO and CDHP plans. Finally, a company sponsored 401(k) retirement plan.
