About the Role & Team
Amplitude is looking for a Technical Project Manager to drive execution, alignment, and delivery for complex cross-functional initiatives specifically for critical projects relating to SFDC, CPQ, and RCA. Reporting to the Vice President, Business Transformation, this role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and business teams, ensuring clarity, predictability, and adoption of technical solutions like CPQ that impact Sales and Finance.
This is an opportunity to play the “glue” role: bringing structure, communication, and calm execution discipline so engineers and product owners can focus on building, while the business can move with confidence.
As a Technical Project Manager, you will:
- Partner with the Product Owner to translate roadmap priorities into engineering plans.
- Facilitate backlog refinement, ensuring acceptance criteria, estimates, and priorities are clear.
- Lead Agile ceremonies (Scrum/SAFe) and drive sprint execution with predictable delivery.
- Schedule and run project meetings, capturing notes, decisions, and action items.
- Maintain disciplined project tracking in Jira (hygiene, dependencies, velocity) and related tools.
- Provide program visibility through dashboards, status reports, and risk logs tailored to executives, engineers, and business stakeholders.
- Oversee QA, UAT, and release readiness to minimize business disruption.
- Anticipate rollout challenges in SFDC RCA, PPL, and CPQ, applying a change management mindset to ensure smooth adoption.
- Manage all program documentation—requirements, dependencies, risks, and runbooks—for transparency and continuity.
You'll be a great addition to the team if you:
- 5–7 years as a Technical Project Manager, Program Manager, or Scrum Master in a technology-driven environment.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce systems (SFDC RCA, PPL, and CPQ) is required.
- Strong Agile/SAFe program management: backlog management, sprint execution, velocity tracking.
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and program dashboards for disciplined execution.
- Skilled at meeting facilitation, requirements documentation, and organized record-keeping.
- Proven ability to anticipate risks, manage dependencies, and support adoption across Sales/Finance functions.
- Excellent communication skills, able to adjust messaging for executives, engineers, and product leaders.
Personality Traits
- Service-oriented & collaborative: Success measured by how effectively the team and PO can focus on their strengths.
- Organized & detail-driven: Proactive in identifying risks and ensuring predictability.
- Calm & adaptive: Thrives under pressure without disrupting execution.
- Low-ego, high-impact: Operates as the “glue,” prioritizing clarity and delivery over personal spotlight.
