Partner Sales Lead - Japan

The Mission: Defining the AI-Native Partner Strategy

In the era of Generative AI, data is only as valuable as the insights it generates. Amplitude is at the forefront of this shift, providing the AI-native product intelligence that modern enterprises crave. As our Partner Sales Lead in Japan, you won't just manage relationships, you will architect a high-velocity ecosystem of Consulting Partners, GSI’s, and Agencies. Your goal is to embed Amplitude’s AI capabilities into the digital transformation (DX) strategies of Japan’s largest organizations.

As a Partner Sales Lead, you will:

  • Architect the AI Ecosystem: Identify and recruit high-impact partners (GSIs, Boutique Consultancies, and MarTech Agencies) who are ready to lead their clients into an AI-first product strategy.

  • Enable AI Evangelism: Train and certify partners on Amplitude’s AI-native platform, ensuring they can articulate the value of automated insights and predictive analytics to their enterprise clients.

  • Co-Sell & Close: Drive "Net New Logo" growth by leading joint sales cycles with partners. You’ll be the bridge between our AI technology and the partner’s strategic relationship at the C-suite level.

  • Strategic Territory Planning: Take a quantitative approach to the Japan region, analyzing partner-sourced pipeline, influence maps, and historical win rates to forecast growth with precision.

  • Foster Global-Local Alignment: Work closely with our global Alliances team to localize AI-driven partner programs for the unique nuances of the Japanese business landscape.

You’ll be a great addition to the team if you have:

  • Ecosystem Mastery: 12+ total years in SaaS sales or alliances, with at least 5+ years specifically managing Enterprise-level partnerships in Japan (Big Data, AI, Cloud, or Analytics).

  • AI & Data Literacy: You understand the modern data stack (Snowflake, Databricks, etc.) and can explain how an AI-native intelligence layer sits on top to drive 10x faster decision-making.

  • Bilingual Leadership: Native Japanese and Business-level English. You can comfortably present AI roadmaps to global stakeholders and local executive boards alike.

  • The "Build" Mindset: Experience taking a territory from "early-stage" to "market leader." You are hungry to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-inspired environment where you own the results.

  • Network Effect: You bring an existing "rolodex" of key decision-makers within Japan’s top consulting firms and technology integrators.
