We are looking for an experienced and detail-driven Payroll Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing across the U.S. and Canada, while supporting initiatives to streamline processes and enhance the employee experience. You’ll collaborate with HR, Finance, and Legal partners to maintain high standards of accuracy, compliance, and service delivery, while driving continuous improvements in payroll operations.
Your Impact
Payroll Processing
- Own and support end-to-end payroll processing, including data entry, calculations, and distribution of salaries, wages, commissions, stock, and bonuses.
- Validate payroll computations to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Compliance & Audit
- Stay current on federal, state, provincial, and local tax regulations to ensure full payroll compliance.
- Manage complex payroll matters, including multi-state and multi-jurisdiction tax withholding, garnishments, and year-end reporting.
- Partner on quarterly and annual audits (401(k), workers’ compensation, external audits, etc.) and prepare prior quarter adjustments/amendments as needed.
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with HR, Finance, and Legal to ensure seamless integration of payroll data and alignment across departments.
- Provide timely, accurate responses to employee payroll inquiries, ensuring a positive employee experience.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate payroll processes for greater accuracy and efficiency.
- Leverage industry best practices to enhance payroll operations and ensure scalability.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent payroll experience.
- Proven success in a payroll-focused role (Payroll Analyst, Specialist, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with multi-state payroll; California payroll expertise strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now, Workday HCM and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification desired.
