Location: Somerset, PA 15501
Compensation: $18 - $22 per hour, dependent on experience
Schedule: 40-50+ hours per week, depending on project requirements

We're hiring a Construction Technician in Somerset, PA (15501) to play a key role in providing concrete and soil testing, along with general construction inspections involving field labor, and operating testing equipment to service our clients' industrial and commercial construction projects. This position is a driving force behind our team's success. If you have prior experience in Construction, as a Maintenance Technician, or General Laborer, or if you just enjoy working outdoors, we want to hear from you!
- Perform concrete field and laboratory testing.
- Perform soil testing - including density testing with a nuclear density gauge, infiltration testing, and water sampling.

Perform general site inspections including Erosion & Sedimentation Control in accordance with the approved plans.

Assist with traffic control and flagging when necessary to maintain a safe work environment.
- Document field observations and test results with accuracy and compliance.
- Operate hand-held testing equipment.
- Understand construction techniques.

- Perform field labor with the ability to lift 50 pounds.

GED or High School Diploma required.
- Experience or willingness to learn the methodology of heavy construction.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
- Ability to travel and complete out of town work as necessary.
- ACI Field Grade 1 Certification preferred, not required as we will train.
- Nuclear Gauge Operator License preferred, not required as we will train.
- Ability to perform manual labor and work outdoors in various conditions.
- Knowledge of sediment and erosion control.
- Valid driver's license, safe driving record, and a reliable method of transportation.
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screenings.
- Thorough understanding of safe work practices in accordance with OSHA regulations.
