Position Summary: 
Seeking a motivated Civil/Environmental Engineering Intern to join our Punta Gorda, FL office. In this role, you will work under the guidance of experienced professionals to support a variety of municipal and environmental projects, including water/wastewater systems, site development, stormwater management, and more. This is an excellent opportunity to build foundational skills, gain hands-on project experience, and grow within a supportive engineering environment.

Your Responsibilities as an Engineering Intern:

  • Support senior engineers and project managers in planning, designing, permitting, and preparing documentation for civil infrastructure projects.
  • Create preliminary layouts, perform calculations, and produce technical drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Contribute to field investigations, technical reports and drawings, and assist in analyzing data to develop effective engineering solutions.
  • Contribute to ensuring all designs and deliverables adhere to local, state, and federal standards.
  • Work closely with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders, providing project updates and addressing technical questions.

What we're looking for:

  • Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, with estimated graduation date of May 2026.
  • Ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D experience desired.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and self-management abilities.
  • Prior internship or co-op experience desired.
  • Sponsorship not available now or in the future.
