Senior Content Marketing Manager
What we’re building
The marine industry supports recreation, global commerce, and national defense. And yet it runs on technology that hasn't meaningfully changed in fifty years. Until now.
Arc is on a mission to electrify the marine industry. We're rethinking powertrains, software, and vessel designs from first principles. And we're already executing. We started with consumers to develop and harden our core technology. We’re now scaling production of our flagship model with new models and sectors on the horizon. Now we’re extending our platform to commercial applications, starting with tugs, ferries, and defense, with years worth of signed contracts and a pipeline that spans every vessel type on the water.
The technology is proven, the momentum is building, and the opportunity is enormous. The marine industry is going electric and Arc is building the platform that powers it
Who we’re looking for
Arc is looking for a Content Lead to define how the world sees electric maritime before the category catches up.
This is a builder's seat. You'll set the roadmap and ship the work yourself, partnering closely with Brand, Creative, and Growth leads. You'll have real range to work with: consumer owners who want to feel like they're driving the future, and commercial partners who need to trust the engineering behind it. Same brand, two completely different conversations, and you're the one who makes both land.
The best person for this role has probably already done this once, at a company where the product was ahead of the market's ability to understand it, and where content wasn't a support function but part of how the company won. You know how to take something technical and make it feel inevitable. You publish, you watch what works, and you move fast on what doesn't.
This is a full-time, on-site role at our Torrance headquarters. You'll report to our Head of Marketing, working alongside a small, fast-moving team where the work is visible and it matters.
What You'll Do
- Owning the editorial calendar and content roadmap end to end, from strategy to what actually ships
- Setting the voice and point of view for Arc, and making sure it holds up whether you're talking to a boat owner or a commercial partner
- Producing and directing content across every format: long-form, video, social, scripts, web, and campaign assets
- Briefing and managing freelance contractor to keep quality high without slowing down
- Partnering with Creative on production and with Brand on positioning, so content always reflects where the company is headed, not just what's next on the calendar
- Shaping product marketing narrative, turning launches and technical milestones into stories people actually want to follow
- Watching what performs and moving fast to do more of it
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years creating content for a brand with a technical, complex, or category-defining product
- A portfolio that shows real range, sharp writing, strong creative direction, and at least a few pieces that actually broke through
- Experience owning voice and editorial strategy for a brand across more than one audience, ideally spanning consumer and technical or B2B content
- Strong editorial judgment, with the instinct to know what's worth shipping and what isn't
- Experience directing and briefing freelance or contract talent, not just producing everything yourself
- A bias for shipping. You publish, learn, and iterate rather than wait for perfect
- Comfortable moving fast in an environment where priorities shift and most people wear more than one hat
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience in maritime, deep tech, or advanced hardware
- Background at a company where the product was ahead of the market's understanding of it
- Familiarity with premium consumer brands or EV
- Comfortable pushing a fast but sustainable pace
- Enthusiasm for boating and clean energy
At Arc, we encourage diversity and consider all qualified applicants equally for employment, regardless of background, identity, or status. You’re always welcome to reach out even if you don’t meet many of these qualifications. Passion and aptitude make up for a lot.
