Arine is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Individual Contributor) who will operate as a key technical leader and authority in quality engineering execution. This role is critical for architecting, implementing, and championing the end-to-end quality strategy across our core application features, user interfaces, and backend services. You will be instrumental in building scalable, resilient testing frameworks, driving quality "Shift-Left" into the development cycle, and providing critical technical direction that maximizes product reliability and engineering efficiency. You will collaborate directly with Engineering Architects, Product Managers, and the QA Manager to provide critical input to and execute our long-term quality vision.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Architect comprehensive, risk-based test strategies and advanced test plans for complex features, major system releases, and architectural refactoring projects.
- Champion, implement, and standardize robust Quality Engineering practices across the organization, collaborating with leadership on defining core testing policies, coding standards for test automation, and release readiness criteria.
- Drive the design, adoption, and scaling of robust automated test frameworks to achieve a high automation coverage and establish repeatable validation.
- Integrate and enforce automated quality gates into the development process to prevent regressions and ensure release confidence.
- Apply mastery in coding and scripting to develop custom diagnostic tools, execute deep-dive root cause analysis, and perform advanced system integrity checks under high load.
- Provide technical guidance, perform code reviews, and offer mentorship to junior QA engineers, elevating the technical bar for quality across all engineering teams.
- Own the technical execution of the primary quality sign-off, ensuring system integrity by establishing sophisticated comparison and validation methods across all data and UI visualization touchpoints.
- Proactively identify and resolve systemic quality pain points and testing gaps, working with Engineering Leadership and the QA Manager to implement structural process and tool improvements.
- Manage high-priority defects, leading technical collaboration across development teams to ensure swift, permanent resolution of complex system issues.
Our Ideal Candidate Possesses:

- Demonstrated expertise in architecting and deploying resilient, scalable test automation frameworks at an enterprise level.
- Mastery of analyzing system logs, integrating with observability platforms, and scripting complex test data setup and validation against complex, high-volume application workflows.
- Deep experience with performance engineering, load testing, and security scanning concepts (not just execution).
- Strong capability in testing modern web application frontends and validating complex backend business logic in microservice architectures.
- Expert ability to debug and trace defects through complex, distributed environments (e.g., microservices, cloud services, and APIs).
Quality Strategy & Influence
- Proven success in implementing technical direction and standardizing test practices across multiple engineering teams and development cycles.
- In-depth understanding of modern QA methodologies, including Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), risk-based testing, and effective defect triage within an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Advanced, hands-on experience with various API protocols and testing methods, and integrating these checks into automated, pre-deployment workflows.
- Familiarity with major cloud platforms and how they impact deployment and testing strategies is highly desirable.
Ownership & Collaboration
- Exceptional ability to translate ambiguous business objectives into precise, measurable, and exhaustive test strategies and acceptance criteria.
- Demonstrated proficiency in challenging and constructively questioning requirements to ensure product quality is prioritized before development begins.
- High degree of autonomy and a strong ownership mindset, driving technical initiatives independently while actively contributing to cross-functional technical alignment.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex system quality risks and findings effectively to both technical peers and executive stakeholders.
