About the Role
The UX Design Intern will work closely with our product design team to support the end-to-end design process across key product initiatives. This role offers meaningful exposure to user research, interaction design, and cross-functional collaboration within a fast-paced product environment.
This is an unpaid internship intended for educational and professional development purposes. Academic credit may be arranged where applicable. Undergrad students are encouraged to apply!
Location. This role is office-based at our Bellevue, Washington office.
What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Support the design of product features from initial discovery through delivery, including wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity prototypes
- Assist in planning and executing user research activities, including interviews, usability testing, and synthesis of findings
- Contribute to the maintenance and evolution of Armada AI's design system
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to ensure design intent is accurately implemented
- Participate in design reviews, critiques, and cross-functional planning sessions
- Document design decisions and communicate rationale clearly to stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or a related discipline
- A portfolio demonstrating UX process and problem-solving ability across one or more projects
- Proficiency in Figma or equivalent design and prototyping tools
- Familiarity with user research methodologies and usability principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present work clearly to cross-functional audiences
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and adapt to evolving priorities
