
Country Manager - Japan

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Country Manager to lead our go-to-market efforts in Japan. This is a high-impact, quota-carrying individual contributor role focused on developing and executing country-level strategy, closing enterprise deals, and coordinating cross-functional efforts to drive growth.
What you'll do:
- Country Strategy & Planning - Own and drive the country-level go-to-market strategy, including: Market segmentation, Pipeline development plan, Account prioritization and territory planning. Define and refine strategic focus areas in alignment with regional/global objectives.
- Enterprise Sales Execution - Operate as a quota-carrying individual contributor (IC), responsible for: Building and managing a healthy enterprise pipeline, Closing complex enterprise deals, Forecasting revenue and hitting/exceeding targets.
- Local Market Leadership - Serve as the in-country leader and primary point of contact for cross-functional coordination across: Marketing, Customer Success, Partnerships. Act as the internal champion for country-specific needs, advocating with regional and global teams.
- Partner Ecosystem Development - Build and manage the local partner ecosystem, including: Identifying, onboarding, and enabling key partners, Driving partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline, Collaborating on joint go-to-market activities
- Brand & Market Presence - Represent the company publicly in the local market: Speak at industry events and conferences, Engage with press and media where relevant, Liaise with government bodies and industry associations as needed
What We Expect:
- Proven experience in enterprise SaaS or cybersecurity sales within Japan.
- Demonstrated success exceeding quotas and managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles in large Japanese enterprises.
- Exceptional communication, influencing, and negotiation skills with the ability to engage at all levels, from technical teams to boardroom executives.
- Native-level Japanese fluency and strong business English for regional collaboration.
- Strategic, entrepreneurial thinker comfortable operating as the first boots on the ground in a high-growth market.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity, IoT, or SaaS solutions preferred.
