Senior Vice President, Business Development
Our Senior Vice President, Business Development is responsible for business development efforts associated with their respective division. They partner closely with their Division President and oversee the coordinated efforts of their support team to ensure success in achieving growth goals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive business development strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion for dedicated region
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, market trends, and emerging technologies to capitalize on
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define short-term and long-term business objectives and initiatives
- Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including property owners, investors, brokers, developers, and industry partners
- Negotiate partnership agreements, joint ventures, and other strategic alliances to support business objectives and enhance market position
- Leverage existing networks and actively seek out new opportunities for collaboration and partnership
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on market analysis and opportunity assessment
- Participate in RFP responses, proposals, and presentations as needed
- Partner with cross-functional team to provide property budget projections and due diligence services
- Set ambitious revenue targets in partnership with Division President for region and develop strategies to achieve and exceed performance goals
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to track progress against objectives and drive continuous improvement
- Develop and implement pricing strategies, revenue models, and sales tactics to optimize profitability and maximize revenue potential
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing business development support team for region, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the business development organization
- Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and metrics for success, and evaluate team performance against these standards

Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance, or related field
- Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or related roles within the multifamily real estate industry
- Strong understanding of multifamily property management operations, market dynamics, and industry trends
- Exceptional leadership and strategic planning skills, with the ability to drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in financial analysis, market research, and performance metrics
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively, solve complex problems, and identify innovative growth opportunities
