Role Overview 

Astera Labs is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Sourcer to join our talent acquisition team on a contract-to-hire basis. In this critical role, you'll be responsible for identifying and engaging top-tier technical talent in the semiconductor and silicon industry to fuel our rapid growth as a leader in AI infrastructure connectivity. You'll leverage your deep expertise in technical recruiting and semiconductor talent markets to build robust pipelines of highly qualified candidates across multiple engineering disciplines, directly impacting our ability to deliver the high-speed, low-latency connectivity solutions that power next-generation data centers.

You'll partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers to understand complex technical requirements, develop creative sourcing approaches, and deliver exceptional candidate experiences that showcase Astera Labs' mission and culture. Key Responsibilities 

Strategic Talent Sourcing 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies to identify passive candidates in the semiconductor and silicon space 
  • Build and maintain robust talent pipelines for hard-to-fill engineering roles across multiple technical disciplines 
  • Conduct market research and competitive intelligence to understand talent availability and industry trends 
  • Leverage Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing tools to identify high-quality candidates

Candidate Engagement & Relationship Building 

  • Craft compelling, personalized outreach that communicates Astera Labs' value proposition and technical challenges 
  • Engage passive candidates through multi-channel approaches including email, LinkedIn, and networking events 
  • Conduct initial screening conversations to assess technical qualifications, motivations, and cultural fit 
  • Build long-term relationships with potential candidates to create sustainable talent networks 

Collaboration & Process Excellence 

  • Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to understand role requirements, team dynamics, and technical specifications 
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and sourcing activity in Greenhouse ATS 
  • Provide market insights and sourcing metrics to inform recruiting strategies and hiring decisions 
  • Continuously optimize sourcing approaches based on data, feedback, and industry best practices 

Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience 
  • 5+ years of experience in technical sourcing or recruiting with focus on semiconductor, silicon, or hardware engineering roles 
  • Demonstrated expertise using LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing platforms to identify passive technical talent 
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor industry landscape, technical roles, and talent markets 
  • Proven track record of building pipelines for hard-to-fill technical positions 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to engage senior-level technical professionals 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience sourcing for specialized roles in analog/mixed-signal design, digital design, firmware, hardware validation, or systems engineering 
  • Familiarity with AI infrastructure, connectivity technologies, or data center hardware ecosystems 
  • Advanced Boolean search capabilities and experience with sourcing automation tools 
  • Experience working in high-growth startup or fast-paced technology environments 
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously 
  • Passion for staying current on sourcing trends, tools, and best practices 

Compensation 

Hourly pay range is $50 to $75 depending on experience and qualifications. This is a contract-to-hire position with potential for conversion to full-time employment.
