People Operations Manager

At Astranis, we are building the next generation of internet satellites to connect the four billion people around the world who currently lack access. This is a massive undertaking, and we need a People Operations leader to help us prepare for lift-off.
We are looking for a strategic builder to architect the operational backbone of our People team. In this role, you will move beyond basic administration to focus on high-impact scaling. You will ensure our internal infrastructure is as advanced as the satellites we build, creating an environment where our team can do their best work. The Role
- Architect Our Mission Control: Act as the super-admin for our People tech stack. You will lead the configuration, integration, and automation of our systems to create a flawless, high-velocity operational foundation that supports our rapid growth.
- Fuel the Employee Experience: Use data and intuition to shape our culture. You will design retention programs and manage engagement surveys to create a stellar experience that makes people excited to come to work.
- Events & Culture: Plan and execute company events that foster connection and keep morale high, ensuring our team stays connected to the mission and each other.
- Launch Operations (Onboarding): Own the new hire lifecycle from day one to ensure a smooth launch, ensuring every new crew member is integrated and ready to contribute.
- The Source of Truth: Centralize our documentation and processes. You will build a transparent knowledge base that allows our team to move at the speed of spaceflight without getting lost in the details.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in People Operations, with at least 2+ years of direct leadership experience.
- Systems & Process: Proven experience leading systems implementations and driving process optimizations. You should love taking a messy, manual workflow and automating it into something seamless.
- Employee Experience & Events: You have a track record of planning and executing company events and driving culture initiatives that tangibly improve the employee lifecycle.
- AI Forward: Strong appetite for learning and innovating with AI tools and platforms to transform people services.
Bonus Points
- Tech Stack: Experience with Paylocity, CultureAmp, Lattice, Tangelo, Greenhouse, Gemini Enterprise, or N8N.
- L&D: Exposure to creating learning content or administering an LMS.
- Industry: Previous experience scaling operations in a high-growth hardware or aerospace environment.
Base Salary
$150,000 - $175,000 USD
