Role overview

Your mission is to support the management of our product library systems and technology platforms, with a focus on our Athena underwriting platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and verify product requirements, translate business needs into technical specifications, and ensure the successful rollout of various product and process enhancements. This role reports directly to Madison Williamson, Head of SMB Product - Cyber & Tech.

How you'll make an impact

By 3 months:

  • You'll have a strong understanding of our technical systems and our product appetite across various lines.
  • You'll be familiar with our document library and how to effectively manage our live library resources.
  • You'll begin working with tech teams on enhancement projects and collaborating with Product Heads on training materials.

By 6 months:

  • You'll start producing ideas for product and system enhancements based on your analysis of book performance.
  • You'll take on more responsibility in technology testing and rule auditing processes.
  • You'll demonstrate your ability to translate requirements between business units and technical teams.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing our live form library and documentation of processes
  • Working with tech teams on enhancements and testing/rollout of new tech features
  • Translating business requirements for technical implementation
  • Book data analysis and interpretation to propose enhancements
  • Working with Product Heads to deliver training materials
  • Collaborating with internal analytics teams to review book performance
  • Identifying and verifying product requirements for new products/enhancements
  • Working directly with cross-functional teams including Legal, Pricing, R&D, Underwriting groups, and Product Heads

What you've already accomplished

  • You have at least 3 years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably with cyber/tech experience
  • You have knowledge of underwriting systems and processes
  • You have an insurance background as an underwriter or broker looking to pivot into product management
  • You have strong attention to detail and process-oriented thinking
  • You're able to effectively manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • RPLU/CPCU certification is a plus

 

Our estimated base pay range for this role is $110,000-$130,000 per year plus additional performance based compensation incentives and company equity. Base salary is determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to market data, location, internal equitability, domain knowledge, experiences and skills.
