Description:
The Athletics are currently seeking an Assistant, A’s Cast. This position will report directly to the Coordinator, Broadcasting & Media Content. The Assistant, A’s Cast is responsible for assisting on A’s home games in a live broadcast working environment. The ideal candidate loves broadcasting but prefers working behind the scenes — editing audio and video, scheduling segments, assisting with recording sessions, and keeping the show running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Learn and collaborate in a working Broadcast Booth and Live Set
- Assist announcers in statistics, out of town scores, and MLB news of the day
- Assist with production of A’s Cast Live, A’s Cast on NBC, and various podcasts
- Act as liaison between Media Relations and the Broadcast Booth
- Represent the organization in a professional manner, consistent with company pillars and culture
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must be available to work between April-September 2026
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced broadcasting environment
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Candidates must be enthusiastic with a strong work ethic
- Desire to grow professionally and advance in the sports industry
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to remain calm and professional when working with high-profile guests, on-air talent, and clients
- Willing and able to move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds
- Driver’s license with a verifiable safe driving record
- Knowledge of Streamyard or other streaming platforms is preferred but not required
- Previous experience working in Adobe Creative Suite preferred (Audition, Photoshop, & Premiere) is preferred
