Position Overview
Our Fund Accounting, VP is central to the firm’s broader Finance function and is focused on firm transactions and controllership.
The Fund Accounting, VP finance professional will support the ongoing management of various bespoke entities. This individual will be tasked with the quality execution of the day-to-day core accounting responsibilities, driving improvements in processes and reporting, and engaging in problem-solving. We are seeking a talented and dedicated professional with the ability to be part of a versatile team and a strong desire to learn and develop in their career.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead month-end close process, including completing a NAV package with all the relevant supporting documentation, calculating management and performance figures, assisting with regulatory reporting
- Review quarterly and annual financial statements prepared by administrator
- Work on various model and review expenses analysis and other projections
- Lead discussion with various vendors and third-party providers of services including administrators, custodians, transfer agents and valuation firms
- Identify and analyze daily cash activity for various fund entities and coordinate with administrator and the deal team for activities
- Assist the senior management with special projects and ad hoc requests as needed
Qualification and Experience
- CPA preferred
- Mix of Private and Public accounting experience preferred
- College degree with a competitive GPA and demonstrated math or analytical ability
- 4-8 years relevant (portfolio and partnership accounting) work experience
- Previous Public/Private Fund/ CLOs/Credit Hedge Fund/Financial Services experience a plus
- Previous experience evaluating process controls, procedures, and flows
- Previous experience with valuation of illiquid and liquid assets
- Ability to take initiative and be accountable for running a process to conclusion
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to synthesize and see the big picture
- Ability to juggle more than one project at a time and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with Altyrex, Anaplan or Power BI a plus

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed here.
