About the role

The HR Manager will oversee the Auctane’s HR and TA teams in Manila, focusing on the design and execution of the HR and business strategies for our Manila office. This individual will oversee local implementation of Auctane’s Total Reward programs, Performance Management, Talent Development, and Employee Communications and Engagement. This role is crucial in creating a work environment that promotes the right company culture, aligned with the organisation’s mission and vision.
Location: Auctane’s Manila, Philippines Office
Travel Requirements: This role may require occasional travel to other Auctane offices, including to Auctane’s Austin headquarters office.

About the team

The HR Manager, Manila will be a contributing member of Auctane’s global Human Resources team and will work closely with global HR leadership to ensure appropriate local design and implementation of Auctane’s global HR vision, policies, and practices. This person will also be part of the local Manila, Philippines leadership team at Auctane, helping to ensure efficient operations of the business locally and helping to ensure Auctane is an employer of choice in Manila.

What will you be doing?

● Provide expert advice to the Country Manager and relevant stakeholders on HR matters,
ensuring quality HR services are delivered to all departments.

● Develop strong value propositions that attract, nurture, reward, and retain high-performing
talent.
● Oversee and drive the performance management processes, ensuring timely communication
with employees and providing leadership support throughout.
● Advocate for the enforcement and adherence to Company Policies and the Code of Conduct.
● Regularly review, update, or create company policies to align with the company’s global
philosophy and support the company’s goals and objectives.
● Cultivate a positive work culture that embodies the company’s core values, addressing key
employee-related concerns with sensitivity. As a member of the Management Committee,
provide consultation on all HR-related matters while contributing to the development and
execution of business strategies.
● Keep all employees informed about company activities, organizational changes, and personnel
movements.
● Strengthen employee loyalty and engagement by suggesting company initiatives that foster
engagement and active participation.
● Offer guidance and legal support in managing employee separations.
● Collaborate with external service providers when necessary.
● Oversee and approve payroll, as well as manage disciplinary actions.
● Continuously assess HR processes and suggest improvements where needed.
● Perform other related tasks and projects as required.

What are we looking for?

● A bachelor's degree (4-year course) is required.
● At least 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on areas such as Employee Relations and Compensation & Benefits, is essential.
● A minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR leadership role is necessary.
● Experience in a performance-driven, metric-oriented environment is preferred.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
● Solid knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management.
● In-depth understanding of the Philippine Labor Code is required.
