What You’ll Do
Authentic Brands Group is seeking an FP&A Summer Intern (June - August) to join our dynamic FP&A team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial planning, reporting, and analysis within a global brand management company. As an FP&A Intern, you will assist in rolling forecasts, and performance analysis across Authentic’s diverse portfolio of brands spanning fashion, entertainment, media, and lifestyle.
What you’ll be working on
- Work with large datasets to analyze licensing revenue, royalties, and brand sales
- Conduct variance analysis to compare actual performance with budgets and forecasts, identifying key drivers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., accounting, operations, sales) to gather sales data and insights
- Research industry trends, benchmarks, and competitive analysis to support financial decision-making
- Support process improvements and automation initiatives within the FP&A function
- Ensure data integrity and availability to support analytical requirements
- Report creation using Excel
Must Haves
- Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field (preferably pursuing a Master’s degree)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Available to work 3 weekdays per week
- Able to work onsite 2 days in our NYC office
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, G Suite, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI is a plus)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced corporate environment
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
Primary Location Salary Range:
The hourly rate for an undergraduate student intern in New York, NY, is $18
The hourly rate for a graduate student intern in New York, NY, is $22
