Retail General Manager

Overview

Our RIDE General Manager is one who will create a unique, memorable, and inspirational customer experience; encompassing the Aviator Nation lifestyle and brand image, while executing all studio operations and goals resulting in driving sales, ensuring a profitable studio, and growing our clientele and community. The General Manager will work with their team and instructors to make sure every person feels supported in their roles. The majority of your time will be spent motivating and directing the workforce, making daily staffing decisions, ensuring customer satisfaction, upkeeping studio and front of house presentations, and managing safety and security within RIDE. The General Manager will have an open and direct line of communication with Senior Management to most effectively hold a firm knowledge of brand direction and focus.

Key Responsibilities

• Be a motivational leader and mentor ready to respond to the needs of your team and our customers
• Oversee and manage the day to day operations of RIDE including but not limited to the RIDE Associates, RIDE instructors, and other RIDE employees
• Interview, onboard, and supervise all employees
• Lead and train team of Assistant Managers and various team Leaders, as well as RIDE Associates
• Build and foster relationships in your studio, with your instructors and local community
• Ensure staff complies with company policy and any class related policies and guidelines
• Complete deposits, business reports, payroll reports, and staff schedules
• Manage maintenance issues around the studio and store, including proactive personal handling and/or working with appropriate professionals and companies.
• Order all necessary office and studio supplies 
• Develop and maintain cleaning schedules and checklists to maintain pristine cleanliness around the studios and space
• Ensure all bikes and bags are meticulously cleaned and maintained
• Ensure all equipment is efficiently working including but not limited to: sound system, lighting, headsets, bikes, and bags
• Proactively ensure there are always enough shoes, gloves, mats, and towels for RIDE clients
• Efficiently and effectively solve all client issues to develop and maintain lasting relationships with clients
• Advise staff on the best ways to resolve issues with clients and deliver excellent customer service
• Be knowledgeable and able to respond to questions about all aspects of Aviator Nation inclusive of fitness classes, retail and coffee/juice bar
• Be knowledgeable of all Aviator Nation products and the company background
• Maintain an awareness of apparel and accessory trends, in relevance to our store environment
• Ensure inventory levels are accurate, conduct inventory counts quarterly or when deemed necessary. 
• Collaborate and communicate often with Management and staff from the coffee/juice bar team
• Continually look at class numbers, total first time riders, and repeat trends to see how to best adapt RIDEs schedule and classes with clients desires that will best benefit the company
• Ensure all staff is educated on the promotional offerings and sales process (what we offer, when to offer it, and whom to offer it to)
• Develop a strong presence in the surrounding community to consistently create strategic partnerships
• Develop a strong culture and community within RIDE that is inviting to new and existing clients
• Continuously identify and develop high potential employees
• Perform in the moment feedback when necessary, as well as performing individual performance reviews at designated milestones.
• Coach your team on time management and prioritization of tasks and initiatives.

General Manager Skill, Abilities and Requirements

• 2+ years working in retail and/or fitness industry
• 1+ years of managerial experience
• Superior customer service and hospitality skills
• Outstanding communication skills and be able to work with a wide range of personalities
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask
• Previous knowledge of studio check in processes, POS systems, and membership sales preferred

General Manager Physical Requirements

• Must have open and flexible availability (early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays)
• Work efficiently during eight (8) to nine (9) hour shifts
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
• Must be able to kneel, bend, reach, climb and stand for long durations of time 
• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 30lbs
