As a Senior Backend Developer at Axi Digital, you will play a key role in building the next generation of backend systems powering our Crypto & Trading products. You will work on highly scalable, low-latency systems and contribute to the development of mission-critical trading infrastructure from the ground up. This is an exciting opportunity to work on niche, high-impact products in the crypto and trading space, collaborating with high-performing teams across Spot Trading, Futures Trading, Asset Management, and Customer Onboarding. Your EDGE Assignment/You Will
- Design, implement, and maintain backend services, APIs, and data processing systems.
- Collaborate with product managers and frontend engineers to build robust, scalable features.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code following modern development practices.
- Participate in system design discussions, architecture reviews, and code reviews.
- Improve service performance, scalability, reliability, and observability.
- Help evolve our micro-services architecture and CI/CD pipelines.
- Identify and reduce technical debt, proposing sustainable long-term solutions.
- Monitor, identify and optimize performance bottlenecks.
- Mentor junior engineers through design guidance, reviews, and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to backend best practices, documentation, and team processes.
Are you the one?
- 4–8 years of experience in backend engineering, with strong expertise in building scalable distributed systems.
- Strong hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot development.
- Experience designing and building backend APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems.
- Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, system design, scalability, and performance optimization.
- Exposure to AI-first coding practices, developer productivity tools, or engineering automation is highly preferred.
- Experience working on highly scalable, real-time, or low-latency systems is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with CQRS or Event Sourcing patterns is good to have.
- Exposure to Terraform or infrastructure-as-code concepts is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with ownership and accountability for delivery.
- Candidates who have been part of a product journey from early stage build to scale are highly valued
