Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly organized, motivated and detail-oriented Senior AP Specialist to support our global Accounts Payables function, focusing on delivering high quality customer service for our rapidly growing international business. Key activities include, but not limited to, managing the integrity of our supplier master data, increasing our Paid-on-time KPIs, training support functions on systems and internal controls, and support the international accounting team on certain monthly close activities. This role is responsible for setting up, modifying, and maintaining supplier records in the ERP system, ensuring data accuracy, compliance with internal controls, and adherence to regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will embrace a continuous improvement mindset, a strong communicator, focusing on quality and details.
Location: Hybrid with hub office either London UK, Daventry UK, Amsterdam, NL
Reports to: Global Accounts Payable Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Finance liaison for international business teams (Supply Chain, Procurement, Marketing, Engineering) for Accounts payable related activities, including requisitions, supplier intake, and invoice processing
- Create, update, and maintain supplier records in the ERP system, including banking, tax, and contact details
- Review and validate supplier onboarding documentation to ensure completeness and compliance
- Primary point of contact for supplier data inquiries and updates
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures related to vendor master data
- Support initiatives related to data standardization, process improvement, and system enhancements
- Work with internal and external auditors, leveraging strong compliance and segregation of duties knowledge
- Support key aspects of monthly, quarterly and annual close activities
- Special projects and ad-hoc requests as assigned
What you Bring:
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Recent experience working in Accounts Payable function at a publicly traded company
- Superb attention to detail, strong planning and organization skills, highly analytical, problem solver, ability to multi-task and deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience with Microsoft D365 is preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong communicator, self-starter, able to work autonomously across time zone
The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between £35,000 in the lowest geographic market and £40,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
