Brief team/department description:

Be a part of Azurity’s drive to bring transformative therapies to more overlooked patients internationally. We are looking for an experienced accountant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate to develop and progress within an ambitious multinational pharmaceutical organization.

We are a rapidly growing finance team in Dublin with responsibility for reporting of Azurity’s European entities. We also work closely with colleagues in the US, India and Switzerland in preparing monthly management accounts and quarterly external reporting. Due to the dynamic environment there are often ad hoc duties depending on various business needs and as required by the VP Finance.

Principle Responsibilities:

 Reporting to the Manager, Group reporting & Consolidation, the candidate will have responsibility for the following:

  • Preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with local laws and regulations for Azurity’s European entities. Bridging US GAAP reporting to local GAAP reporting
  • Work with the statutory auditors of European entities and assist with the group audit
  • Assist with quarterly external reporting assuring accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare and review management and statutory reports including quarterly Balance Sheet Review
  • Support financial and accounting analysis involving complex transactions including but not limited to general accounting, fixed assets, intercompany and financial reporting activities/transactions
  • Review monthly reconciliations
  • Prepare accounting memos
  • Propose and implement initiatives aimed to improve efficiency and quality of the process

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Qualified ACA/CPA/ACCA/CIMA
  • 5+ years PQ progressive experience
  • Experience in an international environment - pharma sector is a plus
  • Experience in working on statutory audits
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles
  • Strong computer skills, particular experience with Excel and Oracle
  • Professional proficiency of English
  • Individual must be self-motivated with great follow-up skills and be able to work independently
  • A “can-do” attitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset and drive for excellence
