Our Ways of Working

Our Fulfillment Center team works on-site to support our physical operations and plays a vital role in delivering the Babylist experience.

Our partner teams are distributed remotely across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. To foster strong relationships, we meet in person at least twice a year—once as a company and once within our departments. Whether in person or remote, we show up consistently, stay focused on our purpose, and deliver results—together, from anywhere.

What the Role Is

Babylist is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to lead operations on the Day Shift—our largest and most visible shift—at our Commercial Point, OH fulfillment center. This is a critical leadership position, ideal for a seasoned operations manager, who thrives in high-growth, fast-paced environments and brings a track record of developing leaders, driving results, and owning change. Managing a large team of 100-150 direct and indirect reports, including Assistant Managers and Supervisors, you’ll play a central role in shaping culture, implementing new processes, and driving safety, productivity, and engagement. You’ll also partner cross-functionally with business stakeholders both inside and outside the fulfillment center. This role offers growth potential into senior leadership, including acting as a right hand to the Fulfillment Center Senior Manager.

This role is expected to be onsite Monday- Thursday 7:00am- 5:30pm.

Who You Are

  • Experienced Leader: You bring 10+ years of management experience, including leading large shifts of 100+ people. You’ve directly managed supervisors, assistant managers, and/or operations managers, and are confident in acting as a “leader of leaders”
  • Strong Cross-Functional Operator: You have deep experience collaborating across multiple functions, including engineering, data, HR, inventory, and planning. You’re comfortable interfacing regularly with corporate stakeholders to support rollout of new programs and tools
  • Builder in Ambiguity: You thrive in startup-like environments and have experience implementing new policies and processes. You don’t need a fully built playbook to lead effectively
  • Culture Driver: You understand that culture starts with the biggest team. You actively work to celebrate wins, engage the team in safety and performance goals, and foster a consistent and motivating environment
  • Fast-Paced Communicator: You excel in high-velocity environments, including Slack-first communication, and are highly responsive, even as priorities shift quickly
  • Safety-First Leader: You’ve owned or contributed to safety programs and can confidently maintain compliance while improving processes
  • Strategic Thinker: Your long-term planning ensures sustainable growth while meeting immediate operational needs
  • Operational Expert: Deep expertise in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control, and workflow optimization
  • Results-Oriented Leader: You’re driven by metrics and have a proven record of achieving and surpassing KPIs in a fast-paced environment

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Lead Day Shift Operations: Manage a team of 100–150 direct and indirect reports, including 2 Assistant Managers, Facilities Manager and Office Manager
  • Develop and Mentor Leaders: Create clear expectations, coaching frameworks, and growth plans for your team while fostering a culture of accountability, trust, and results
  • Own and Evolve Safety: Take full ownership of the building’s safety program, ensuring compliance, engagement, and continuous improvement.
Champion Culture and Engagement: Serve as a role model and culture-builder for the largest team in the building—driving programs that keep the team motivated, celebrated, and safe
  • Execute and Adapt: Lead process rollouts, policy changes, and systems launches initiated by Babylist HQ. Act as a point of stability and responsiveness through change
  • Drive KPIs and Continuous Improvement: Use data to evaluate performance, reduce waste, and improve workflows. Consistently deliver against targets
  • Collaborate Broadly: Partner regularly with cross-functional stakeholders within and beyond the building—including Planning, Engineering, and HR—to support smooth scaling and program implementation
  • Leverage Technology: Implement and optimize the use of warehouse management systems and other tools to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
