The Regulatory Operations team, a vital part of the Legal Team, operates from strategic locations in Brussels and London. This dedicated team plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with international regulations outside of the US and Canada.
What You'll Do:
The Regulatory Operations Team's primary responsibilities include filing detailed reports to various regulatory authorities, ensuring that all company practices meet legal standards and requirements. Additionally, the team adeptly manages all Law Enforcement Requests, responding promptly to inquiries and requests for information from law enforcement agencies. This requires a deep understanding of legal protocols and a commitment to upholding privacy standards while cooperating with authorities
- Expertise in Regulatory Functions: Carry out critical operations within the Regulatory Operations Team, ensuring a thorough understanding and execution of processes to manage requests from Law Enforcement Authorities (LEA) and National Authorities.
- Prioritise High-Stake Cases: Manage ticket queues to swiftly address high-risk and high-priority cases, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs for LEA Requests)
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Compile and analyse statistical data to prepare comprehensive reports for submission to the National Regulatory Authority (NRA).
- Resource Application Management: Handle applications for numbering resources, coordinating effectively with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Customer Analysis: Lead proactive outreach efforts to customers to ensure adherence to Bandwidth's Terms and Conditions, aiming to minimise the influx of Law Enforcement Tickets.
- Continuous Process Improvement: Proactively maintain and update departmental documentation and workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ability to effectively reorganise daily tasks based on the priority levels of external demands
Master your Admin and Organisational Skills
- Regulatory Reporting Oversight: Respond to complex requests and notifications about regulatory reports, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all communications.
- Data Query and System Management: Conduct in-depth queries within Bandwidth systems and databases, extracting relevant information to support regulatory and operational requirements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage and influence internal departments and teams to extract and analyse data from various systems, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and collaboration.
- Case Issue Resolution: Lead efforts to identify, investigate, and resolve case-related issues through comprehensive analyses of customer data, active monitoring reviews, team discussions, and consistent engagement with the broader team, ultimately driving operational excellence.
What You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree (legal background is preferred).
- 3-5 years of working experience in a Corporate Environment, prior experience in a Law Enforcement team or Regulatory Operations in a Legal Department would be preferable.
- Personal Interest in the Internet and Telecommunications Industry, with experience in this field, would be an advantage.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including expertise in data analysis, complex formulas, pivot tables, and the creation of dynamic dashboards for effective reporting.
- Experience in SQL would be an advantage.
- Strong Analytical skills and Logical in your reasoning.
- Natural curiosity and critical thinking skills are needed to produce evidence-informed decisions.
- Ability to work within a team environment.
- Demonstrated tech-savvy with a proactive, problem-solving attitude, adept at leveraging technology to improve processes and drive efficiency
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to be flexible and receptive to changing process demands.
- Phenomenal communicator: with excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills with attention to detail.
- Customer-centric with the ability to understand their needs.
- Proactive mindset.
