Job Title: Senior System Programmer- Mainframe Development

    • Position Summary:
      We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with deep expertise in IBM mainframe environments. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for contributing to the development and maintenance of mainframe applications. In addition, there will be knowledge sharing with other team members with the goal of building a stronger, more diverse knowledge pool.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Product Development and Enhancement:
        • Design, develop, and implement product improvements and new features.
      • Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
        • Provide direct support to customers through email and phone, answering inquiries and diagnosing issues.
        • Assist sales teams by addressing technical questions from prospective customers.
      • Quality Assurance and Testing:
        • Engage in Quality Assurance testing to ensure product stability and reliability.
      • Documentation and Reporting:
        • Create and maintain technical and customer documentation related to enhancements, fixes, and product updates.
      • Research and Development:
        • Keep up with emerging mainframe technologies and identify opportunities to integrate them into existing products.

      Required Qualifications:

      • Strong proficiency in IBM Assembler language.
      • Proven experience (8+ years) in mainframe development, with expertise in languages such as COBOL, JCL, and VSAM.
      • Deep understanding of z/OS internals, interfaces, and services.
      • Expertise in VSAM internals, interfaces, and tuning.
      • Background in CICS/TS programming (API).
      • Experience with z/OS systems software development.
      • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
      • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • z/OS Systems Programming experience, including MVS, SSI, and SSOB.
      • Familiarity with IBM product installation, configuration, and deployment (SMPE).
      • Background in Technical Support or Quality Assurance.
      • Additional knowledge in:
        • COBOL
        • LINUX
        • TCP/IP
        • VTAM
        • z/PDT
        • z/VM
        • z/VSE

Working Hours:
Our business hours are from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm MST (9:00 am to 7:00 pm EST), with flexible working arrangements. Core working hours are from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm MST (12:00 pm to 5:00 pm EST), supporting a balanced work-life approach.
