Overview:

Join our product production team as a Windows Systems Administrator & SQL Engineer to manage and optimize Windows servers, IIS, SharePoint, and SQL Server databases. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system uptime, security, and performance while driving automation and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Server Management: Administer Windows servers with IIS, SharePoint, and MS Entra integration.
  • Database Administration: Install, configure, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases, ensuring performance, security, and availability.
  • Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts using PowerShell or other scripting tools to enhance efficiency.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize server and database performance through query tuning, indexing, and resource management.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement best practices for system and database security, including Windows patching and access control.
  • Troubleshooting & Log Analysis: Analyze logs and troubleshoot complex issues across servers and databases to ensure stability and uptime.
  • Backup & Recovery: Establish and maintain robust backup and recovery procedures.
  • Monitoring & Incident Response: Proactively monitor systems for performance issues and resolve complex incidents promptly.
  • Collaboration: Partner with DevOps, IT, and application teams to implement new services, set up servers, and enhance monitoring.

The ideal candidate will have experience with MS Windows servers, databases and MS SharePoint.

  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems, native Azure Cloud Services and Virtual Machine.
  • Skills in scripting and Windows PowerShell and other common scripting languages.
  • Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTPS, IPSEC, and distributed networks
  • Detailed knowledge of Windows security best practices
  • Experience in deploying and managing scaled, secure and stable environments.
  • Excellent documentation experience and skills
  • Detailed knowledge of all components of a technical architecture
  • Strong understanding of network architecture

Education and other qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years administrating SQL Server databases
  • Technical Skills: Windows Servers, IIS, SharePoint
  • SQL Server administrator experience.
  • Advanced scripting (PowerShell, Ansible, etc.)
  • Experience with database migrations and upgrades
  • Strong Windows Server administration skills
  • Strong problem-solving and communication abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Ownership and self-direction in managing product Windows and SQL servers.
  • PowerShell and or .Net experiences.
  • Soft Skills: Eagerness to learn, good attitude, and strong interpersonal skills.
