About boostCX (One of Banyan’s Portfolio Company)

boostCX is a customer experience and feedback platform serving enterprise clients with complex, high-value needs. We are in the middle of a platform transformation to boostCX 6 - a modern, extensible platform that balances configurability with scale.

This role is critical to making that transformation successful.

Role Summary

We are hiring a Product Owner to own core platform capabilities within boostCX 6. This is a decision-making role, not a requirements-gathering or coordination role.

You will be accountable for prioritization, tradeoffs, and outcomes for a defined portion of our platform. You will work closely with Engineering, QA, and Product leadership to deliver value predictably and sustainably.

If you are uncomfortable making hard calls, saying no, or being accountable for outcomes, this role is not a fit.

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership

  • Own  the boostCX 6 Core Platform backlog end-to-end
  • Define, prioritize, and sequence work aligned to platform strategy
  • Make scope, timing, and tradeoff decisions without constant escalation
  • Ensure work delivered aligns to platform capabilities, not one-off solutions

Customer and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engage directly with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Translate customer needs into scalable platform capabilities
  • Push back on requests that do not align with product direction or capacity
  • Clearly communicate priorities, decisions, and rationale

Delivery Partnership

  • Partner closely with Engineering and QA in a pod-based delivery model
  • Define clear acceptance criteria that enable engineering autonomy
  • Participate actively in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Maintain a healthy, prioritized backlog with work sized for delivery

Outcome Accountability

  • Own measurable outcomes for your platform domain
  • Use data and feedback to continuously refine priorities
  • Balance short-term delivery with long-term platform health

What This Role Is Not

  • Not a Business Analyst role
  • Not a Project Manager role
  • Not a Scrum Master role
  • Not a people management role

This role exists to make product decisions and own results.

Required Capabilities:

You must demonstrate:

  • Strong product judgment and decision-making under ambiguity
  • Comfort saying no to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Experience working on platforms or shared services, not just end-user features
  • Ability to balance customer needs with long-term platform integrity
  • Practical understanding of delivery constraints and capacity
  • Experience working directly with engineers and QA in an agile environment

Experience Profile

  • 5+ years in Product Owner, Product Manager, or equivalent role
  • Experience with platform products or internal-facing products strongly preferred
  • Experience in enterprise SaaS or configurable software environments
  • Proven track record of shipping incrementally and predictably

Agile or Scrum certifications are not required and will not substitute for experience.

Success in the First 90 Days Looks Like

  • Clear ownership of a defined platform domain
  • A prioritized, actionable backlog aligned to platform goals
  • Predictable delivery across multiple sprint cycles
  • Evidence of strong decision-making with minimal executive intervention
  • Trust established with Engineering and Product leadership

Reporting and Structure

  • Reports to: VP, Product Management
  • Works closely with: Engineering, QA, Platform Architecture
  • Part of a pod-based delivery model focused on outcomes, not output

Why This Role Matters

This role is central to the future of boostCX. You will shape how our platform evolves, how teams work together, and how we scale without sacrificing quality.

This is a high-impact role for someone who wants ownership, accountability, and real influence.

The expected base salary for this position is: CAD 75,000- 85,000 excluding annual bonus and equity (when applicable). Salary is based on a number of factors including market conditions, location and may vary depending on job-related skills and experience.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
