Global Sourcing Specialist - Hardlines

The Global Sourcing Specialist supports a portfolio of critical projects primarily from overseas manufacturers. This includes all levels of project management from scope definition, budget management and resource tracking in a fast-paced creative environment where priorities can change quickly. High levels of quick, creative problem-solving skills will set you up for success. 

Experience Requirements 

• BA degree and/or business experience in manufacturing, project management or related field 
• 3-6 years project, logistics, materials, production, resource, and vendor management. Experience in working with domestic and overseas manufacturing. 

Job Skills & Traits 

• Project management experience with strong attention to detail, scope, schedule, budget, and resource tracking 
• Excellent problem-solving skills 
• Experience in a fast-paced creative environment 
• Experience in tooling /manufacturing of multiple hardline commodities (examples include polyresin, acrylic, plastics/inflatables, aluminum/tin, banners). Softline experience a plus (apparel, textiles, headwear, bags, etc.)
• Experience in costing and negotiation required. 
• Experience working with and managing external factory partners. 
• Required experience in Oracle as well as the use of MS Office including Word, Excel, and Teams.
• Solid organizational, time-management, negotiating, presentation, communication, and writing skills. 
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with other members of design, merchandising and sales. 
• Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with co-workers and clients. 
• Promote high level of customer service to ensure smooth operations to satisfy internal and external partners/clients. 
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. 
• Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure. 

We are pleased to share the base salary for this position is $70,000 - $85,000 a year depending on experience. If you are hired at BDA, your compensation will be determined based on factors that may include geographic location, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any offer. In the spirit of pay transparency, the range listed is the full base salary range for the role and hiring at the top of the range would not be typical, in order to allow for future salary growth. The range listed is just one component of BDA’s total compensation and rewards programs, which includes: robust PTO; vacation, a paid volunteer day, holidays and summer Fridays, Benefits; medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D insurance, 401k; tuition reimbursement, mental health and financial wellness programs and professional development opportunities including tuition reimbursement.
