Location: Hybrid in Manchester, London or Leyton, UK

Position Summary 

The Sr. HR Business Partner is responsible for providing strategic partnership and consultation to their respective business leaders and units. The Sr. HRBP will advise on the HR aspects of business decisions and ensure alignment with company culture and practices to improve organizational success. This hands-on role provides day-to-day human resources services in the areas of employee and leadership development, employee relations, coaching and counseling, performance management, and identifying training needs. 

Responsibilities 

  • Act as primary contact for employees and managers in assigned client group. Build a strong business relationship with the internal clients and stakeholders. 
  • Develop a strong understanding of the business. Proactively support the delivery of HR initiatives and processes. 
  • Identify opportunities for HR strategic influence within client groups and set objectives in partnership with leaders accordingly. 
  • Effectively drive leadership development, management/employee coaching, and performance management.
  • Partner with management teams to assist in optimizing people, strategy, structure, process and culture, and facilitate the delivery of HR services as appropriate. 
  • Conduct regular meetings with leaders to review talent, provide advice and recommendations on performance management, development, organizational design, etc. 
  • Provide support for human resources related programs, policies, and initiatives, including leaves of absence. 
  • Identify, evaluate, and participate in human resource policy and program development in partnership with the HR team.  
  • Proactively identify and develop programs, or tools to positively affect morale and retention. 
  • Apply extensive knowledge of human resource principles, concepts, industry practices and standards in the analysis of information and projects. 
  • Process various reports from HR systems (ADP Workforce Now, PM Systems, etc.) to analyze trends and provide management with appropriate information. 
  • Ensure accurate employee information and audits for biweekly payroll reviews. 
  • Assist in the ideation and execution of multiple employee recognition events throughout the year. 
  • Other job duties as assigned. 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

  • Must be full fluent with both written and verbal communication skills in English 
  • Fluent in French and or German strongly preferred
  • Understanding of both UK and French labor laws
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within HR field, including detailed, up-to-date knowledge of state and federal employment law 
  • Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now preferred 
  • Ability to act objectively while mentoring employees and management through issues that are sophisticated, difficult, or emotional in nature 
  • Exceptional social skills with ability to influence and act as a change agent across the organization 
  • Ability to collaborate and work within a team environment 
  • Ability to utilize human resources data and analyze trends 
  • Willingness to work on the tactical as well as the strategic 
  • Effective oral and written communication skills 
  • Demonstrated effective presentation skills, including ability to adapt communication style to fit audience 
  • Digital literacy: advanced MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook 
  • Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects and deadlines 
  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload and manage changes in direction 
  • Ability to interpret and apply required policies and procedures 
  • Willing and able to travel to Paris and Germany on occasion

Experience/Training/Education: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or related field
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience working in a full-time HR role 
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in an HR Business Partner, Employee Relations, or similar role with a focus on partnering with management on complex people issues 
  • PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification preferred 
  • Any similar combination of education and experience
