As an Account Manager – Sports Properties at BDA, you will play a vital role in building and maintaining strong relationships with our clients. Your primary focus will be on overseeing merchandise at a broader, multi-client level, often setting standards and managing full Sports property programs, with an emphasis on managing internal VIP projects and uniform programs. You will work to understand client needs and objectives, recommend suitable merchandise solutions and programs, and ensure the successful execution and on-time delivery of projects. You will collaborate with various internal teams to meet customer expectations and contribute to the overall growth and success of BDA while meeting your client’s needs and objectives.
The role of an Account Manager at BDA is dynamic and customer focused. Success in this position requires a combination of sales acumen, marketing execution, relationship building, creativity, project management, product knowledge, the ability to work within a team, and the ability to consistently deliver excellent service to clients. A key priority in this role is managing relationships with key buyers and internal stakeholders, ensuring consistency across various markets, and balancing client initiatives with individual team needs. By fostering strong relationships and providing valuable promotional solutions, the Account Manager significantly contributes to the growth and success of BDA and the client’s marketing and branding goals.
WORK LOCATION AND SCHEDULE

This role is based in New York, NY and offers a flexible onsite schedule of onsite 4 days per week, with 1 day remote.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop branded merchandise solutions taking into account clients’ promotional objectives, target audience, budget and deadline constraints to offer tailored promotional merchandise solutions
- Develop, Manage and Execute strategic account plans, presentations and pitches for client opportunities
- Managing large-scale property-wide activations, such as championship promotions or jewel events (e.g., Olympics, All-Star Games, World Series, Super Bowl).
- Ensure compliance with licensing agreements
- Develop and nurture long-term relationships with existing clients serving as main point of contact addressing their inquiries promptly and professionally
- Advise clients on the most suitable merchandise solutions that align with their marketing goals and brand image while integrating the various service units of BDA.
- Remain current on all merchandise and cultural trends to enhance our offerings and maintain a competitive edge
- Coordinate and collaborate with client service coordinators, production associates, and other cross-functional teams (design, logistics, purchasing etc.) to deliver on spec and on time
- Monitor client satisfaction at all levels and address any issues to ensure a high level of customer retention
- Meet and exceed assigned sales targets and contribute to BDA’s revenue growth while working within assigned budgets and forecasts. Deliver results by achieving short and long-term sales and profitability goals

QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years proven experience in sales, account management, or a customer facing role
- Proven track record of increasing sales and business opportunities through client development
- Proficient in MS Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant tools for sales and order management (Salesforce preferred)
- Promotional merchandise experience strongly preferred but not required
We are pleased to share the base salary range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000. If you are hired at BDA, your compensation will be determined based on factors that may include geographic location, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any offer. In the spirit of pay transparency, the range listed is the full base salary range for the role and hiring at the top of the range would not be typical, in order to allow for future salary growth. The range listed is just one component of BDA’s total compensation and rewards programs, which includes: robust PTO; vacation, a paid volunteer day, holidays and summer Fridays, Benefits; medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D insurance, 401k; tuition reimbursement, mental health and financial wellness programs and professional development opportunities including tuition reimbursement. Certain revenue-generating positions may be eligible for incentive compensation.
